Petition: Stop the Tire Fee Increase
WE the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows:
Please suspend the decision to significantly increase Ontario Tire Stewardship's fees on Agricultural and Off-The-Road Tires pending a thorough impact study and implementation of proposals to lower costs.
Petition regarding regulations on classic cars
Therefore, be it resolved that the Ontario Legislature support Ontarians who collect and restore old vehicles by amending the appropriate laws and regulations to ensure vehicles over 20 years old and exempt from Drive Clean testing shall also be exempt from additional emissions requirements enforced by the Ministry of the Environment and governing the installation of newer engines into old cars and trucks.
Petition regarding changes to OHIP services
We the undersigned, petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: That the McGuinty government release its patient health impact study on the recently announced Ontario Health Insurance Plan changes, or, if such a study has not been conducted, that one is immediately undertaken and made public.
Petition to support the horse racing industry
We the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: The Government of Ontario must immediately recognize the damage that will be done to businesses, individuals and communities caused by its decision to end the Slots in Racetrack Partnership. It must commit to reverse that decision, immediately, and, commit to negotiating a fair, long-term income sharing agreement between the OLG, racetracks, host communities and the horse racing industry to take effect at the end of the current Partnership agreement.
